How to use third party site to download youtube video
- Grab the video link which appear in your address tab, copy it.
- Open Keepvid.com in a new tab, paste your copied link into the box and click download
- Just in case you don't have java installed in your system, download here. It's an essential program for Windows and keepvid utilizing this program to convert the video link into downloadable URL.
- There will be a warning message tells you whether you trust the source of website by enabling java applet (this is another way for someone to illegally access your personal information but in this case keepvid is save as this service has been there since youtube became so popular). Allow and remember for this site only.
- After you click Download button (note: there will be ads distracting you from real download button). The right button is next to the link box. You can see that there is original link video along with thumbnail, and below to it is your download link available in various format. Note: HD is available if the owner/uploader of the video upload it as HD.
